TeKnowledge May 2024: Most Important Highlights Worldwide

As we enter the summer season and leave May behind, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on everything we have accomplished in just one month. We are preparing for a dynamic and bustling period filled with numerous exciting developments, we also wanted to highlight some of last month’s accomplishments.


A Snapshot of TeKnowledge International Events in the Past Month:


  1. We announced a new market expansion: TeKnowledge is bringing access to over 6,000 experts in AI, technical enablement, cybersecurity, and end-to-end services across the UAE, led by Emir Susic, our newly appointed Country Manager. As a leading Microsoft partner specializing in AI and Data, Teknowledge offers a unique proposition, combining our expertise with our vast talent pool spanning Africa and Eastern Europe to shape UAE businesses for the future of AI.  
  1. We were part of Tech Day Costa Rica 2024, where Jeannie Bonilla, our Regional Leader for Latin America spoke about “The Age of Revolution” giving the transformative trends set to redefine the business landscape: Hyper Personalization, Automated Decision Making, Proactive Customer Service. After the event, IT Now, Regional Tech Magazine, interviewed her on her thoughts on the Age of Revolution and how TeKnowledge can help equip companies with the necessary skills to succeed in the fast-changing digital era.
  1. We opened a new Amazon Career Choice cohort: Our new learners in Costa Rica have already embarked on their learning journey, and we are beyond excited to support them along the way. During the six months of the program, participants will get training in cloud computing, enhancing their professional capabilities and positioning them for competitive entry-level IT roles.
  1. We participated in Costa Rica’s largest employability fair, Talent Costa Rica: Promotora del Comercio Exterior de Costa Rica (PROCOMER) launched their first employability fair, as part of the national employability strategy of the Costa Rican government. Over 160 companies joined forces to make this event a success, and over 10,000 people attended! 
  1. We advocated for closing the gender gap in cybersecurity: Duke University hosted its 3rd Duke University Cybersecurity Leadership Program (#CLP2024) at their campus in North Carolina. TeKnowledge’s amazing team led a workshop called “CyberWomen Resilience: Empowering Cybersecurity: The Impact of Diverse Leadership.” Thanks to María Balbás, Executive Vice President of TeKnowledge, Jeannie Bonilla Oliva, Regional Leader for Latin America, our inspiring panelists, and all of Duke’s team for allowing us to be part of these powerful initiatives. It was an honor to partner with an institution like Duke University to bring this important event to the world, fostering inclusivity, innovation, and a safer digital world.
  1. We invited HR leaders to promote the talent that we train: One of TeKnowledge’s biggest goals is to go beyond traditional skilling or training and present our learners with real-life work opportunities. With that in mind, HR professionals representing some of the largest companies in Costa Rica, attended an in-person event at our Digital Center of Excellence to hear firsthand about our initiatives, trainings, and the top skills that will dominate the job market in the upcoming years.
  1. We joined a renowned podcast as a featured guest: Steve Mackie, host of the ‘I Wanna Grow’ podcast, invited us to amplify Microsoft Copilot’s transformative potential. The episode delved into how Copilot revolutionizes various job roles across industries. Ghazi Boufaden, representing Microsoft, and Aiman ElKhalifa, Elev8 Tek technical trainer, explored the power of tech solutions and AI.
  1. We welcomed special guests to our Qatar DCE: Teknowledge Qatar hosted a delegation from El Salvador, including their Attorney General and Ambassador to Qatar, at the Digital Center of Excellence in Msheireb.  The visit, organized with Microsoft, showcased TeKnowledge’s role in Qatar’s digital transformation efforts and its commitment to Qatar Vision 2030. 
  1. We were part of an innovation Hackathon: As part of our Middle Eastern CSR efforts focusing on digital skilling and innovation, TeKnowledge, through our Elev8 Tek business line, actively participated in the successful Qatar Innovation Hackathon 2024, aiming to empower the next generation of tech entrepreneurs with essential tools and guidance. The Hackathon attracted global innovative entrepreneurs who tackled challenges across six industry-specific themes: Tech Transformation, Enterprise Tech, Sports Tech, Mobility Tech, FinTech, and Creative Tech. The event sought innovative business models utilizing AI, Machine Learning, and Augmented Reality technologies. In collaboration with industry giants including QDB, QCB, Ooredoo, Qatar Financial Center, QBIC, HBKU, Microsoft, IBM, and Builder.ai.
  1. We delivered exclusive workshops: Last week, we hosted an interactive workshop in Costa Rica for one of our large tech customers, tailored to their partners, on becoming trusted advisors and applying a consultative sales approach based on solutions and the added value they can provide to their corporate customers, particularly in cybersecurity.

    The activity was conducted by experts Alejandro Duran, a thought leader in the technology field with experience as CTO, Senior Consultant, and Learning Director, and Alberto Herrera Yañez, one of the top Offensive Managers in Latin America working for TeKnowledge’s line of business, Cytek. Together, they discussed key factors for breaking paradigms and aligning technology with business objectives through a modern sales approach, building stronger and long-term relationships. Alberto emphasized the importance of whole-company involvement in safeguarding information and addressing cybersecurity incidents, and the pivotal role of sales teams in understanding customer needs and challenges to provide the best cybersecurity solutions. 
  1. We attended a C-suite exclusive event: Adewale Adeyemi, TeKnowledge’s Africa Regional Business Lead, participated in the BusinessDay C-Suite Economic Club last week as a panelist on “Harnessing Technology to Drive Business Transformation.” During the discussion, he highlighted TeKnowledge’s innovative approach in leveraging advanced technology to offer comprehensive advisory support and implementation services across three key areas: cybersecurity, technical managed services, and digital skilling. He also emphasized the importance of supporting internal talent development to manage career paths and reduce attrition.

As we approach the end of the first half of the year, we look back at everything we have accomplished in just six months. As we prepare for a dynamic and bustling period filled with numerous exciting developments, we wanted to pause and share our latest events with everyone. In 2024, with the launch of TeKnowledge, our commitment to fostering the tech ecosystem globally reached new heights as we collaborated with our partners to launch a series of exciting and revolutionary digital skilling initiatives.
