In honor of International Women’s Day, Elev8 has launched a powerful video campaign that aims to bring attention to the challenges that women face in the tech industry and beyond, calling for real action to create a fair and inclusive playing field for women everywhere. We hope that by drawing attention to the real-life experiences shared by half of the population, that women’s voices will be heard every day, not just on International Women’s Day.
The video campaign features two of Elev8’s remarkable female leaders – Tomisin Nwanchi, Global Solutions Designer, and Ronke Lawson, Senior Sales Manager. They share their unique insights on what equity means to them, how they hope to break down the barriers that are preventing us from achieving true equity in the workplace right now, and how Elev8 can help support the next generation of women in tech to build the careers of their dreams unhindered by bias.
Gender inequality has been an issue in the tech industry since its inception. Currently, less than 25% of leadership positions in tech are held by women, and that number is steadily decreasing. Despite significant progress in society’s attitude towards equal gender representation in the workplace, women still face innumerable obstacles and challenges when trying to advance in their careers. Our mission is to change that.
Elev8 is taking a stand to address this issue and spark lasting change. By featuring the voices of just some of the incredible women that make up our workforce, we hope to draw attention to the experiences of other women across the tech industry and raise awareness of the still pressing need for organizations across the globe to fight for true diversity, equity and inclusion.
