Elev8 has joined forces with Microsoft and the Qatari Ministry of Communication and Technology (MCIT) to launch the Digital Center of Excellence in Qatar.
The program is a key part of Qatar’s National Vision 2030 that aims to build and enhance the digital capabilities of the country’s public and private sector workforce through reskilling and upskilling.
Accelerating the knowledge-based economy’s growth
Through the Digital Center of Excellence, elev8 is collaborating with Microsoft and MCIT to nurture a highly competitive workforce that can meet the constant and growing demand for digital talent and position Qatar as a global leader in digital.
We’re driving digital transformation in the region by facilitating skilling programs and boot camps covering the latest technology trends including Cloud Computing, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Cybersecurity, among others.
The collaboration goes a long way in nurturing the tech talent of the future and accelerating the knowledge-based economy’s growth in Qatar. With the rapid pace of change in technology, digital skills become obsolete quickly, making continuous, adaptable training crucial for governments and companies to stay competitive.
The results
Over the next three years, elev8 plans to upskill over 6,000 people from Qatar’s workforce through the Digital Center of Excellence and help drive economic growth across the country’s vital industries.
In the past two years, over 2,500 people have undergone elev8’s skilling initiatives in Qatar. This has armed them with the knowledge needed to take advantage of the latest cutting-edge technologies and lead ground-breaking innovations in Qatar and around the globe.
